About Justine

Justine is a current professor at Utah Valley University (UVU) teaching Human Resources, Employee Experience, and Organizational Behavior.

She received her B.S. in Communication from UVU, M.S. in Learning Experience Design from Western Governors University, and is currently working on her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Cappella University. She is a first generation college student and has seen firsthand the incredible opportunities that come when someone makes sacrifices to invest in themselves by pursuing higher education.

She benefited from the generosity of many people throughout her time in education and created the Lee Professional Development Fund as a way to give back and invest in the futures of the next generation.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Graduation

Recipients must have graduated high school or received their GED on or before July 1st.

Enrollment

Recipient must be able to provide proof of enrollment in a professional development program by the time funds are awarded (College, University, Certificate Program, Apprenticeship, Trad School, etc.)

Application

Recipients must complete the full application by the application close date.

Funds

Recipient must be able to receive the funds by either Venmo transfer or in-person cash/cashier's check.

Is the Lee Professional Development Fund distributed as an ongoing scholarship or one-time grant?

The fund is distributed as a one-time grant of $1,000. The scholarship is not currently reoccurring and you cannot receive the scholarship more than once.
